McMenamins Passport – Cosmic Tripsters

On Saturday, February 21 2015, Dixon and I purchased our McMenamins Passport. The plan is to record our adventures through photos and blog posts. We’ve been having fun so far if a bit uneventful. We’ve accomplished 8 stamps in a quick succession of suburban pubs:
date | Location | Stamps | Event |
---|---|---|---|
Saturday 2/21/2015 | Hillsdale | Pub + Beer Fest | Dinner after a birthday party |
Friday 2/27/2015 | Oregon City | Pub | Car shopping in Gladstone |
Saturday 2/28/2015 | Mall 2015 | Pub + Pint of Cider | Saturday errands |
Sunday 3/1/2015 | On the Columbia | Pub | Post Silverstar Mountain hike |
Tuesday 3/3/2015 | Fulton | Pub + Limited Edition Tap | Dinner before a birthday party |
The idea all started last summer, when we stayed at the St. Francis School (Bend) in between fire lookouts (Drake Peak and Bald Mountain). Relaxing outside, on a lovely summer evening, warmed by a fire, we met some great people who enthusiastically sold us on the idea. They were two of the first to complete the passport and thought it had been a ton of fun. We should have purchased the passport then and there — between the hotel stay, the soak, the movie…we’d have gone through a bunch of stamps in one fell swoop. But this just means we get to go back. That pool / soaking tub is lovely.
